First Time Knits Book
I'm so excited to finally reveal the launch of my new book, First Time Knits. This book is aimed at aspiring crafters looking for a learn to knit book with a Sincerely Louise twist. First Time Knits is a knitting course, which takes you from beginner to knitter in nine exciting and achievable projects. Each project builds on the skills learnt in the previous one. Starting with the basic knit stitch you'll progress up the knitting ladder to the final project, a jumper.
The projects include step by step tutorials and are accompanied by online videos to make learning even easier. There's also a dedicated website with additional help, bonus projects and more.
The thing that makes First Time Knits different to other learn to knit books is that you'll meet my knitters, Amala, Katie, Simon and Zoe and follow their knitting journey. With no previous experience they used the instructions in this book to learn to knit and along the way I documented their progress. This includes which yarns they chose, the most common mistakes they made, their finished projects and feedback.
I believe that if you can knit, purl, increase and decrease you can make anything and that's exactly, what you'll learn! Alongside skills like pattern reading, working in the round, sewing up and customising your projects, there are pages dedicated to identifying and fixing mistakes. Most of the projects are knitted using chunky or super chunky yarns, which means it's really easy to see what you're doing and that your knits will grow quickly.
This book is aimed at complete beginners, however there are projects that more experienced knitters will also love to make.
Although I can't share pictures of all the projects yet, here's a full list of what's included in the book:
Animal phone cosy
Bear cup warmer
Whale bottle carrier
Lion Head (you may have spotted him on my Instagram)
Hot dog dog (yes this is exactly what it sounds like)
All orders will be signed and come with four bonus knitting patterns. These will be in an exclusive bonus booklet.
