Mini Rainbow Knitting Pattern

After designing my giant rainbow pattern Katherine on Instagram asked if I could make a mini rainbow that could be used to graffiti knit her local area. Inspired by her I've knitted loads of these mini versions and have been decorating our local park with them each day! They use a small amount of yarn and just the knit stitch so are really fun to make, I can knit one in 20 minutes!

YARN
The rainbows can be knitted using DK on 4mm for tiny ones, or two strands of DK held together on 6mm needles or a standard chunky yarn on 6mm needles. These rainbows are great for busting your stash. You could size them up on bigger yarn and needles to increase the size.

DK rainbows - you'll need 7g of yarn in total (1g of each yarn colour) per rainbow and a pair of 4mm needles.

Two strands of DK held together - you'll need 14g of yarn in total (2g of each yarn colour) per rainbow and a pair of 6mm needles.

Chunky - you'll need 10g of yarn in total (1.5g of each colour) per rainbow and a pair of 6mm needles.

Using a darning needle weave in all the loose ends. Cut a length of yarn, you can cut it as long or short as you'd like it to be. I like to use a different colour for each rainbow and push it through the centre of the rainbow, through the colour  B section. Tie in a knot and hang up your mini rainbow!
I hope you enjoyed knitting your rainbow. Don't forget to share your finished knit with me on Instagram
