I run Sincerely Louise, an award winning, independent knitting brand based in the top floor of an old cutlery factory in Sheffield. I design knitting patterns, books and kits inspired by taxidermy.

I started knitting while studying commercial photography at university and became obsessed. I'd knit through all my lectures and tutorials and began making props for my photoshoots. After graduating my editorial work went viral and it gave me the platform to start my own brand.

My first book Faux Taxidermy Knits was published in 2014, which I launched alongside my first set of Forest Friends Kits. In 2016 I won the grand prize in the UK Etsy Awards, as voted for by the public. In 2018 I self published my second book, The Knitter's Annual, which was picked up and republished by Pavilion as The Knitters's Activity Book. I'm currently working on my third book, which will be published in August 2020.

I love making people smile and knitting things you might not expect to see, like a pig in a blanket or a giant dragon head. I also love being part of the knitting community and seeing my designs in different yarns, sizes and personalised!
