I run Sincerely Louise, an award-winning independent British knitting brand based in an old cutlery factory in Sheffield. I design knitting patterns and kits, and books inspired by taxidermy.

I started knitting while studying commercial photography at university and became obsessed. I'd knit through all my lectures and tutorials, and began making props for my photoshoots. After graduating, my editorial work featuring my knitted pieces went viral and it gave me the platform to start my own brand.

My first book Faux Taxidermy Knits was published in 2014, and I also launched my first set Forest Friends knitting kits. In 2016 I won the grand prize in the UK Etsy Awards, as voted for by the general public. In 2018 I self-published my second book, The Knitter's Annual, which was picked up and republished by Pavilion as The Knitter's Activity Book. I've recently released my third book, First Time Knits, which takes you from beginner to knitter in nine fun projects.

I love making people smile and knitting things you might not expect to see, like a pig in a blanket or a giant dragon head. I also love being part of the knitting community and seeing my designs created in different yarns and sizes, and customised by knitters everywhere.
